Looking for information on the POWELL, RIDDLE, and FRANKLIN families. When did William Riddle POWELL and Sarah FRANKLIN marry? who were her parents?  They moved to Elbert Co GA around 1800. William Riddle POWELL was a son of William POWELL and Sarah RIDDLE. Sarah was a dau. of William RIDDLE, who left a will in Orange Co VA in 1776, and Joyce ____.  Any infomation on these families would be greatly appreciated!

Looking for information on Aaron HUFFMAN (c1812 in Bethel - ) and his wife Mary (or Jane) EHART (c1819-  ) Their children from Madison Co. censuses were: Andrew, Sarah, James, Mary Adeline (1849 in Bethel-1928), Adam, Emma, and two unreadable. "Madison County Marriages (1792-1850)" by Vogt/Kethley pg 41 & pg106 has Aaron HUFFMAN & Jane EHART 9 Jan 1840; d of Michl EHART, min Abraham Tinsley.  I believe the EHARTs were from Orange County

I have just been advised my great-grandfather was born in Orange County, Virginia. The only information I have is as follows: John Richard Pursell born 1-7-1846--married Olivia Ann Simpson 12-19-1867. Also had a brother Raleigh Pursell. I am trying to find the parents of John R. Pursell and any other innforommation concerning the Pursell family. Any help or infoormation will be appreciated.

Trying to find information on Daisy Lillian Berry dob approx. 1921 from Wolftown, Va. possibly married McCoy and then Fertitta. Victore Salvatore Fertitta. Daisy had sisters named Mary Berry and Lina Berry. Father known to be Grover Berry of Wolftown.

I am seeking information on Jefferson William Morris, born about 1817-18, in Orange County, VA, and his wife, Lewany (Lurany, Luvania, Louranie) Shiflett, born about 1819-20, in Orange County, VA. They were married on 23 Jul 1840, in Greene County, VA. Lewany parents were John Shiflett and Rhoda (?) Shiflett. Children of Jefferson William and Lewany Shiflett Morris were Louisa, William S., Rhoda, Susan Ellen, Silas W., John Willis, B. (?), Mitta, and Luraney (Lurani) Morris. Any information would be appreciated.

I would like to find final resting place of Sampson Decatur Sweeney, (b.1832-Prince Edward Co, VA)who d. 13 January in Orange County Court House Hospital, of smallpox. He was a Pvt. Co. H, 2nd Regiment (Appomattox Rangers), VA Calvary. Tombstone inscription or plaque may say "Great Banjo Player". He was banjo player for Gen. J.E.B.Stuart during Civil War. Seeking information on the early life of Israel FRIEND (1693-1750) who was commissioned as an Indian trader and ambassador in 1725. He lived along the Potomac River, above Harper's Ferry, in what was for many years part of Orange Co. Particularly interested in the 1720's and 1730's era of his life.

Seeking infomration on James PRATT, who lived in Orange Co in 1870's and probably before that. His daughter Sadie Lelia PRATT was born in Orange Co circa 1875. His wife's name was Lidia (last name unknown). James and his family may have later moved to Albemarle County (Sadie was married in Albemarle County in 1902 to James CARVER.)

MOORE I read an article that there were 9 MOORE bros. that came to Borden's Grant in Orange co, VA about 1739. They were of Irish/ Scottish nationality. I am searching for info on these Bros: William, John, Thomas, Andrew, Alexander, David, Charles, James, and Jason. They came from Ulster Ireland. I am searching for my ancestors parents, Irey Moore 1795 NC, Irish.
