I'll probably have this e-mail address forever, since I have posted countless queries all over the internet since 1996.

Judith Adams (jwadams@bbs.macnexus.org) on 8/20/98 wrote me that Neroway Asher's death record shows his mother to be Elizabeth Coosenberry. He died Jan 26, 1872 in South Salem, Ross Co, OH.

I suspect May 22, 1808 was Sarah's death date. I can't find a reference in my extensive Asher files where I came up with that date for her marriage date. Sounds suspect.

I'll send you my chapter on Albert Jenkins via attachment to an e-mail. In the meantime, here are the essentials: Albert Jenkins was born on Dec 10, 1814 in VA, according to the 1900 census (incorrectly listed as IN in the 1885 NE census). He died Apr 21, 1874 in Geneseo Township, Henry County, IL at the age of 59.

He married Mary Ann (Polly) Lockhart on Apr 28, 1834 in VA. She was born Aug 24, 1816 in VA and died Oct 1, 1897 at the farm home of her daughter Susannah Sonner in northern Atchison Co, MO at the age of 81. She was the daughter of David Lockhart and Tomsey Jackson.

Their children, born between 1836 and 1864:
Matilda Ann, Henrietta Augusta, Mary Elizabeth, Susannah Nurway, Lucinda (Lucy) Ellen, Rachel T., William David, Emily Jane, Walter Lewis, James O., Alice Virginia, Patience, and Angeline. They married into the QUICK, CHAMBERS, KOEHLER, SONNER, FUNK, WIDNER, GILL, GRIER, FERGUSON, and YOUNKER families.

I am descended from both Henrietta Augusta and Emily Jane.
