"Footprints of the Past" Volume Two

I am the author of a new book about the ROSS family.  One member of this family, Daniel Ross (1740-1822), came to then Henry County in 1777, and resided on Smith River at the Franklin and Patrick County line.

 hardbound navy blue, with gold lettering stamped on the cover and spine.  Over 5,400 people, including births, deaths
            and marriages.

Unpublished reference materials are available in the Patrick County Historical

Society files for research.  These include compilations of many of the early

families of Patrick County, unpublished census records for 1820,1830, 1840,

1870, and Patrick County Death Records, 1871-1896.

Staff members will research on a limited basis without charge.  Materials

will be copied for mailing at cost of $0.15/page plus postage expense.  Anyone

wishing staff research should be very specific in search requests in order to

save time and money.

A recent addition to our facility is a computer on which is stored genealogy

files of Eunice Kirkman, Barbara Baughan, and other Patrick County researchers.
