Longest  continuous membership.  Constituted in 1788.  First 13 members came from Falls Creek Baptist.  First name was Head of Birch Creek. Name Kentuck came from Creed Tanner who, on his way to Kentucky, stopped over in Pittsylvania County one night and remained forever.  He named his estate he bought at Head of Birch Creek, Kentucky.Fire destroyed church records in 1818
