Gertrude D. Holliday Boothe (10-22-2008)
Gertrude D. Holliday Boothe, age 88 of Dallas Freeman Road, Hiwassee (Snowville Community) passed away Monday, October 20, 2008 at the New River Medical Center. Born March 18, 1920 in Pulaski County, she was the daughter of the late Posey Grayson Holliday and Bessie Goad Holliday. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Garland Hampton Boothe in 2006, and one brother, Noah Curtis Holliday. 
She is survived by her sons Junior Boothe & wife, Diane, Christiansburg, Gernie Boothe, Snowville, daughters Bonnie Phillips, Snowville; Linda Lester & husband, Farley, Snowville; nine grandchildren Bobby Boothe, Susan Viars, Connie Viar, Tina Boothe, Karen Porter, Gernie “G-Bo” Boothe, Timmy Phillips, Ewell Lester, and Teresa Cuniford, 14 great grandchildren; 1 great great granddaughter; and sister Hassie H. Dishon, Snowville.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Wednesday at the Bower Funeral Home Chapel, Pulaski with Rev. Jim Linkous officiating. Interment will follow at Dishon Cemetery, Snowville Community.
