Quentin Roosevelt Cox, age 81 of 3773 Lead Mine Road, Hiwassee (Snowville Community) passed away Sunday, June 29, 2003 at his home. Born May 1, 1922 in Pulaski County he was the son of the late Riley Osborne Cox and Mettie Ella Hollandsworth. Four brothers, Gerald Cox, Howard Cox, Basil Cox and J. C. Cox and one sister, Sylvia Trail, also preceded him in death. Surviving are: his wife, Sybol Ewing Quesenberry Cox, Snowville; sons and daughters-in-law, Dennis Lee and Jean O’Dell Cox, Snowville, Zane and Peggy Mayberry Cox, Fairlawn; sisters, Edith O’Dell, Fairfax, Loretta Hedge, Beckley, W. Va., Mildred Hall, Snowville; grandchildren, Jodi Denise Winter and Greg, Manhattan, Kan., Jason Lee Cox and Alison, Snowville, Cheryl Alice Cox, Albany, N. Y.; host of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Bower Funeral Chapel, Pulaski with the Elder Jay Harris officiating. Interment will follow at the Page Cemetery, Snowville. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday evening at the Bower Funeral Chapel, 1631 Bobwhite, Blvd., Pulaski. Bower Funeral Chapel, Pulaski is handling the arrangements.
