Roanoke Times 5/7/1991 Viola Cornelia Dishon Cox, age 76, of Route 1, Hiwassee, Va., Snowville Community, died early Monday morning in the Radford Community Hospital, Radford. Born February 9, 1915, in Pulaski County, she was the daughter of the late Raleigh Dishon and Hattie Grahm Dishon. She was preceded in death by her husband, Theodore Gerald Cox; one sister, Mrs. John (Lattie) Hall; three brothers, Archie Dishon, Rudolph Dishon and Elory Dishon. She was a member of the Wilson Grove Primitive Baptist Church, Snowville. She was a retired employee for the People's Drug Store, Pulaski. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Elgene (Arlene) Quesenberry, Radford; Mrs. William (Leta) Creggar, Daytona, Fla.; three sons and daughters-in-law, Ted Cox Jr. and Mary Ruth Cox, Snowville; Trent Cox and Gloria Cox, Snowville; Jerry Cox and Karen Cox, Snowville; two sisters, Mrs. Jeff (Marie) Hedge, Snowville; Freda Dishon, Snowville; thirteen grandchildren; six great-grandchildren. The funeral will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday at the Wilson Grove Primitive Baptist Church, Snowville, with Elder Sidney E. Rakes officiating. Interment will follow in the Page Family Cemetery, Snowville. Visiting will be any time Wednesday with the family receiving friends from 7:00 to 9:00 Wednesday evening at the Bower Funeral Chapel, Pulaski. Mrs. Cox will be taken to the church to lie in state at 9:00 a.m. Thursday. Bower Funeral Chapel, 1631 Bob White Blvd., Pulaski, is handling the arrangements.
