EDGEWOOD, MD. – Norris Lonnie (Reds) Dishon, Sr., age 64 of Edgewood, Md., passed away Friday, Nov. 12, at the University of Maryland Hospital. Born Aug. 28, 1940 in Matoaka, W. Va., he was the son of the late Harley French Dishon and Cordie Ennis Walker Dishon. He was a veteran of the United States Marines. He enjoyed working on cars and crocheting blankets for the grandchildren. Surviving are: his wife of 45 years, Patricia M. Quinn Dishon, Edgewood, Md.; sons, Norris L. Dishon, Jr., Jarrettsville, Md., Roy D. Dishon, Lexington, N.C., Kenneth D. Dishon, Kelseyville, Calif.; daughters, Kathleen L. Dishon, Glen Burnie, Md., Ronny Jean Dishon, Baltimore, Md., Judy R. Beeman, Winston-Salem, N.C., Christy M. Dishon, Edgewood, Md.; brothers, Harley C. Dishon, Essex, Md., Roger K. Dishon, Randaltown, Md.; sisters, Rita D. Gotzi, Long Beach, Calif., Ellen Maxine Pritchard, Ga., Ennis Louise Woods, Dundalk, Md., Sherry K. Fillman, West Chester, Pa.; 13 grandchildren; one great grandchild. Funeral services will be conducted Friday 11 a.m. at Bower Funeral Chapel, Pulaski. Interment will follow at Dishon Family Cemetery, Snowville. The family will receive friends anytime after 3 p.m. Thursday afternoon and Thursday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at Bower Funeral Chapel, Pulaski. A prayer service will be conducted Tuesday 8:30 p.m. at McComas Funeral Home, Abingdon, Md. where there will be visitation from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Bower Funeral Chapel, Pulaski is handling the local arrangements for the family.
