PULASKI COUNTY SUPERVISORS (1870- 1980)
(The County Board of Supervisors was instituted under Virginia's
1870 constitution. This board assumed the executive duties which
had formerly been provided by the "Gentlemen Justices"
County Court. Some supervisors were reelected numbers of times;
dates shown below indicate the year for which the supervisor was
first elected.)

In 1870 there were only three supervisors - representing three
districts, at that time known as "townships". In 1875
the term "magisterial district" replaced the term "township".
As the county population increased the number of districts was
increased to four, and then to five.
