Old postcard my grandfather, John Childress, wrote to my grandmother,
Ella (Baumgardner) Childress
in Pulaski, VA. I couldn't make out the date but it was
postmarked Petersburg, VA
and he had been looking for a job in Hopewell, VA that day.
I tried to enhance the name written on the bottom of the photo
but could never make out the name of the town.
