- ANDERSON, GROUNDS
posted by Janice Grounds on Tuesday,
September 23, 1997
- I was adopted 41 years ago and have recently learned that
my biological father was born and raised in Pulaski Va. His grandmother/my
great- grandmother was Cherokee and married a man named Samuel
(A?) ANDERSON. My father's name was Samuel Ardell ANDERSON, My
biological mother's name is Marie Charlotte Streng ANDERSON.
I have 3 siblings - all girls. We are: Linda Marie GROUNDS (ANDERSON)
05/13/51; Karen Sue GROUNDS (ANDERSON) 03/15/55; Janice Lee GROUNDS
(ANDERSON) 09/03/56 ***ME; Pamela Jean GROUNDS (ANDERSON) 09/07/57
Sam and my mother were separated and divorced while my mother
was expecting Pamela. Sam Ardell ANDERSON left before she was
born.....My grandfather Samuel ANDERSON was some sort of "Pentacostal"
minister in Pulaski Virginia. I am seeking any information or
leads....I would assume in a small town in the late 50's, early
60's it was still "noteworthy" for a mother and father
to separate especially when there were young children. Someone
may remember a man named Sam ANDERSON who had four daughters
that he never saw... We never saw or heard from Sam or any other
family....Any information would be greatly appreciated.
