 Brunk Family Cemetery

Location

Broadway area, Rockingham County, Virginia. From Harrisonburg, Virginia, take Route 42 North and turn left onto Route 809 (Trissels Road). Continue on Route 809, then go right onto Route 752 (Hisers Lane). Stay on Route 752, go past Trissels Mennonite Church, till you reach Route 786 (Cedar Run Trail) and take a left. Go to the end of Route 786. The Charles T. Halterman farm is straight ahead on the right and this is where the tombstone is located.
 

Notes

There is only the one headstone in the pasture field. Property was owned by the Brunks, Taylors and presently by Charles T. Halterman. In 1967 J. Robert Swank noted "There is said to be an old Brunk family burial place. Originally Brunk property (1775-1840)." A granite marker was placed there for Jacob II & George Brunk on 2 May 1978.
