Angus was born in the Timberville area in 1883 and lived most of his life in Rockingham County. He was a farmer and an orchardist and worked in his later years on the Spotsylvania Orchards. He died in Penn Laird in 1950.

Angus is the son of George Washington and Asenith Virginia "See" Campbell Bertie Belle "Weatherholtz" Campbell was born in the Forestville/Moores Store area of Shenandoah County in 1883, but after her marriage to Angus, lived primarily in Rockingham County. She died in Penn Laird in 1947.

They are buried in Solomons Church Cemetery , near Forestville in Shenandoah County where they were both members.
