MERICA posted by sheri williams on Thursday, October 16, 1997

Seeking information on surname MERICA. Information of any kind or source will be greatly appreciated. My great-great grandfather- Silvanus MERICA and his mother were born in Virginia. I believe that a JOHN MERICA listed in the 1840 census for Virginia could be my great-great-great grandfather but can't prove. All leads seem to point to the counties of Rockingham and Shenandoah. Again-thanks.
