I am searching for Thomas HALL (b.1749 in MD or DE).  He lived near Bridgewater and had a sister Lucy HALL who married Darby BONDURANT, whose family intermarried with the AGEE family.  Thomas married Elizabeth DICKINSON about 1767 & moved to Pendleton County, VA, now WV, at least by 1797. His father was Samuel, a shipbuilder, mother unknown. Thomas supposedly worked in a shipyard. Thanks!

In 1842 Absolam Hayman was born in Rockingham Co, the town appears on his death certf. first part I can't read , the second part is STORE. His parents were LYDIA PENCE AND DANIEL HAYMAN. Would like any info on either LYDIA or DANIEL. I haven't been able to find a marriage between the two and noticed a lot of Pence's in Rockingham County.

Need parents of Daniel JOSEPH of Rockingham Co., Virginia who was born about 1760.  My earliest record puts Daniel Joseph in Augusta Co. in May 1779 when he served in militia.  He married Eve Hanger of Augusta Co., daughter of Frederick Hanger and had two sons and two daughters. A land deed records Daniel and Eve JOSEPH residing in Rockingham Co. in March 1791.  Is anybody else researching the JOSEPH family?  Please contact me.

Ulery SILER m. Elizabeth SLIFER 1793 in Rockingham Co. Ulery's brother Henry m. Magdalene SLIFER (Elizabeth's sister) in 1793 also in Rockingham Co. Elizabeth's parents were Phillip SLIFER and Mary Magdalene. Ulery's parents were Ulery Saylor and Elizabeth Gieri. 5 of the Slifer's children moved on to Montgomery Co. Ohio as did Ulery & Henry Siler's families.  Any ideas were to look for the parents?? Family story was that the Silers were Delaware Indian.  Thanks.

LEE, DAVID- Born 1787 in Rockingham Co. Va?  David apears to be the son of ZACHERIA LEE Sr. who is shown in the 1790 census in Rockingham Co. Va. DAVID LEE married JUDITH DWYER in Roane Co. Tn on May 11, 1807 and migrated to MARSHALL Co. Ky. in 1815.  I would be glad to provide information on the LEE'S of West Ky. Any help on The LEE family of ROCKINGHAM CO. 1750-1800 Greatly Appreciated!

Barbary MILEY 1821.  In addition, Magdalene Beaver dau ofPeter and Magdalene BEAVER m. John Miley and lived in Rockingham Co. until 1828 and removed to Seneca Co., OH. I am searching for info on John LAIR who married a Barbara _______.  He was born prior to 1767 and married and moved to Rockbridge Co. in 1787.  This is NOT the John, son of Mathias who married "Sally" Custer and migrated to KY. This John lived and died in Rockbridge Co. (I've been to the grave).  I found a Ferdinand who had m a Barbara Custer and died in 1787???  Any info will be appreciated.

Thomas LOCKARD died ?1808 leaving children; Thomas b. 1798, Margaret b. 1805, and possibly others.  Need info on guardianship proceedings. Also, widow's name.  Any other infor on a family by this name appreciated. A cousin found info on the above in Richmond, but I do not have complete or substantiated facts.

I am looking for information on James Curry. He was apparently born in Rockingham County in 1739. His parents were William Curry and Sally Young. He had a brother John. I am trying to determine his descendants or where he may have moved to from Rockingham County. I am descended from James Curry,Sr of Pittsylvania County. This James has the same birth year. Seeking information relating to the marriage of Abraham HENDERSON and Ann BLANTON, m. around 15 Nov 1787, one record says Rockingham County & another says Greenbrier County.  Ann was the daughter of my 4th Great Grandfather William BLANTON who was listed as married to a Christina GUINN (maybe GWYNN) in 1800 Greenbrier County.  Abraham and Ann's son John HENDERSON ended up marrying Elizabeth BLANTON (daughter of William BLANTON's son John BLANTON) in Madison County, Kentucky on 3 May 1825.  Any information on HENDERSONs, BLANTONs, or both would be of help.

I found a list of TROUT married in Rockingham County VA. I believe them to be Brothers and Sisters. I would like to know who the parents are of these TROUTS,and what other information I can obtain . I have been told the TROUT were German decendant. I also been told there were Indian decendant past down .Could it be from the parents of the children Im going to list.One of the names is my 4th Great Grandfather, Jacob TROUT borned 1796 VA or NC. I am trying to find the family of my GGgrandmotherRachel BAER; unfortunately, I don't know her birthdate (about 1790-95) or her birthplace - only that she married Daniel Lichtenwalter in Canton, Ohio in 1814. She named her son and my Ggrandfather Jacob Baer Lichtenwalter (1831-1900) and is buried in Canton.  After reading the fascinating history of the Bar/Bear/Baer family in Rockingham Co., I'm quite sure she is somehow related. If anyone has information that might lead me to her parents, I would greatly appreciate it!

I am trying to identify and prove the surname of the wife of my ancestor, JOHN RUNYON junior, who, along with his father, JOHN RUNYON senior, settled in Brock's Gap about 1750.   John junior's wife's name may have been Anne or Anna, and their children included Isaac (1757), Elizabeth (1761), John III (1765), Jacob (1768), Mary (1770), Nancy Anne (1772), Anderson Sr. (1775), and Daniel (1780).  They were probably married around 1755.   The parents of Anne (if that was her name) may have been German or Swiss.
