I am looking for the wife of Lewis BOYER who was born in Rockingham Co, VA in 1755.  I think it is Rosanna KERNS.  Supposedly they were married in 1789.  She is suppose to be the daughter of an Adam KERNS.  Do not have Lewis Boyers parents or their children.  They moved to Miami CO Ohio.  He was a private in the army and has a DAR named after him in Ohio.  Thanks.

I am searching for information on Isaiah CURRY and Abigail HALL.  Thaey were married August 10 1802 in Rockingham County VA.  Isaiah is the son of John CURRY and Anna?.  Abigail is the d/o Joseph HALL and Edith HERRING.  I would love information on both Isaiah and Abigail , thier children and their parents.  I beleive Isaiah (b. 1778 in Augusta Co. Confederate Veteran magazine, Vol XXXIV, No 3, March 1926: John Overton CASLER b. Frederick Co, VA Dec 1, 1838, died Jan 8, 1926. Enlisted from Hampshire Co, VA in 1861. Married Martha E. BAUGH in 1866. Settled in Rockingham Co, VA, then Grayson Co, TX, then Oklahoma City, OK..... Not researching this family, but found this and wanted to share!

I am interested in any information about my GGG grandfather, SAMUEL SULLIVAN, and his direct ancestors and descendants.  Samuel lived in Rockingham and/or Augusta County, Virginia, in the late 1700's and early 1800's before moving his family to Saline County, Missouri.  Samuel's eldest son was named Tempest.  His second oldest son, from whom I am descended, was also named Samuel.

I am looking for decendents of James Hart son of William HART and Nancy FULTZ HART SIPE. James was their only child. James married Frances WINEGARD and they had three children. Nancy HART PITTINGTON, Harriet HART RIDDLE and Wilmer (Bill) HART. Wilmer (Bill) Hart married Effie Bell DILLARD.  They had seven (7) children, their names were:  Owen, Rosa Lee, Janet , Charles (Tommy) and Wilmer HART, Jr.,Lessie, Elizabeth. All of these families were in Rockingham or  Augusta county from before 1800 until at least 1880, some are still in the area today.   Except where noted all this occurred in AUGUSTA COUNTY. BLAKELY/FRIDLEY-> John married Elizabeth MAY in Rockingham County (parents Adam MAY of Pa? and Elizabeth BOTT of MD/Pa?)  5 children.  Adam May and Elizabeth BOTT were married in Rockingham Co., VA in 1791.     Robert Blakely b. abt 1828 d. 5/3/1863 m. 7/8/1852  (Blakeley by 5th Virginia Infantry records) married Sarah MCCAULEY (parents unknown)  they had 2 children. John Robert BLAKELY b. 6/7/1853 d. 1902 m. 9/10/1874 to Martha eve FRIDLEY b. abt 1855 (parents are James W. FRIDLEY and Elizabeth?) they had 9 children.  John and Martha son James William BLAKELY b. May 1897 BUCHANAN/HUMPHREYS/MANLEY-> Berry MANLEY married Sarah SPILTER  they had 3 children.  Lallay MANLEY b. 6/5/1857 married 2/17/1876 to Alexander F. HUMPHREYS  b. 3/5/1853 (Alex parents were John and Melinda LESSLEY). Alex and Lallay had 1 child that I know of Minnie D. Humphreys b. Nov 1882.  Minnie married John W. BUCHANAN on 9/12/1899.  John was born 9/1869 and his parents were Robert BUCHANAN and Rebecca SELBY.  Alex and Lallay had 5 children, Nora Viola Buchanan b. 1901 Married James William BLAKELY b. 1897. The vast majority of these marriages, births, and deaths occurred in STAUNTON, MIDDLEBROOKS and of course AUGUSTA COUNTY. I am at a dead end with the research any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated buddy.

Need information on Arabella G. BROWN and Robert E. BROWN, they were brother and sister.  They were both living in Grottoes, VA in July 1929.  Arabella was born in 1858 and Robert in 1867 prob. Rockbridge Co. They were listed in William Lewis Brown's Obituary from Frontier Co. NE in 1929, also had a brother James F. living in Salem, VA in 1929.  Father's name was William Lyle born 22 December 1822 in Rockbridge Co. VA, mother was Isabella Grimes born 02 December 1828 in August Co. VA. In 1860 and 1870 family was living in Rockbridge Co. VA.

BECHTLE, Jacob and Samuel appear in 1850 Rockingham census.  We are trying to follow the Bechtles in Shenandoah County and suspect these two moved out a bit. I am looking for the parents of James William Dean who appears in the 1880 Rockingham County, Virginia Census with his wife Lucinda Bell Whitlock.  James William Dean was born May 1842 in Virginia and Lucinda Bell Whitlock was born June 1856 in Virginia.  They married in about 1876 and had 8 children:  Mary Ada Dean, William F. Dean, Johnnie Wise Dean,  George W. Dean, Robert F. Dean, James H. Dean, Pearl E. Dean, and Bettie A. Dean.  Their children were all born in R'ham County, VA.

Seeking information on the family of Thomas HASKINS, born in Camp Holly, Henrico Co. VA in 1774. He married Sally COVINGTON in Rockingham Co. on Dec. 26, 1801. Thomas' father was Joseph HASKINS. Thomas had a son, Robert L. HASKINS, who later had Albemarle Co. connections and married Harriet TOMS. Any information would be a great help.
