Searching for alleged child of HOWARD E. HOLSINGER. Child's name is Donna Jean Holsinger, dob unknown. Howard born June 26, 1902 at Broadway VA, Died June 28, 1977 in St. Petersburg, FL.  Entry relating to alleged child is on p. 153 of the refernce book The Descendants of David Holsinger, by Paul Holsinger in 1969.  The entry notes that the alleged child burned to death in childhood.  I seek all information available on her birth, death, parentage and circumstances of the fire.  Thanks

I am looking for info re: Gideon JENNINGS, b. 1767? He married Grace DARRAH, DERRAH, DAY?  His parents supposedly were Benjamin Jennings and Rebecca ________?  In the History of Miami County, Ohio, with the biography of Dr. Solomon Jennings, it states the family came from Rockingham County, Virginia.

Silas Reedy b. 1829 listed Rockingham County on his discharge papers from the Ohio Volunteers Infantry during the Civil War.  His son was Jonathan Reedy who served with his father.  Requesting any information on this family. Am willing to share what I have. Cynthia Defibaugh

I am searching for information on the descendants of Mary HOUFF(1809-1889) who was called Polly and who married Samuel SHEETS [SCHUTZ] on 30 June, 1836. They made their home in Rockingham County and  are buried at Keezletown,Virginia.  Her parents were Benjamin Houff and Catharine Albright [ALBRECHT]of Augusta Co., Virginia. Mary or Maria was baptized at Peaked Mountain Church on 10 Dec 1809.

I am looking for info on William Philip Smith, born in Rockingham County, VA., in May of 1840, do not know who parents are. also info on Samuel Parrett,  and daughter, Eve Parrett who married Jacob Hunsicker My g grandfather, Joshua Reed, was also from Rockingham County, VA., he married Sarah Hunsicker of Rockingham. Jacob Hunsicker, was born in Frederick County, VA, 11-04-1775 and died in Pickaway County, OH., 2-18-1857 in Williamsport, OH.,  Eve. Parrett Hunsicker was born in Rockinham Co., Va., 6-16-1786, and was married there on 3-01-1802 in Rockingham,  and died in Williamsport, OH., Pickaway Co., June 5, 1866.

Searching for JOHN ADAM ROUSH burial site, supposedly at the Old Pine Church (now called St. Mary's).  A monument was erected in 1936 dedicated to the family of JOHN ADAM ROUSH.  An official SAR grave marker is at the base of the monument.  Would like to have location and directions.  Thanks.

Seeking parents or siblings of David Lyons, born September 27, 1788 in Rockingham Co., VA. He married Susannah Black on March 11, 1808 in Rockingham Co. This couple moved to Preble Co., Ohio sometime between 1808 and 1810. I have info on their children which I can share. Also, seeking to clarify names of Susannah's parents. Trying to fill on family tree but missing connection between Jacob MILLER b.1744 m. 1767 to Anna BAER b.1747 and believed son George MILLER.  Need the names of their children plus birth dates.  They lived near Dry Run in fall 1783 as land records are on different pages...Church records burned and unable to locate other ones.  Help is very much appreciated to complete the gap.  Can anyone help?  Thank you.

I am researching my ancestor Dr. John Randolph Stephens of Rockingham County , Virginia. He was born ca 1800 and married Sarah Jane Hendren in 1832 in Augusta County, Va. They had 2 daughters Elizabeth Emma & Jane Caroline born 1833 & 1834. Sarah Jane died in 1836 & John Randolph Stephens died in 1838. The 2 young orphaned daughters were awarded to their Maternal Grandfather, Rev. Dr. John Hendren. Pastor of the Union Presbyterian Church in Augusta Co. in 1839. I seek infornatuion of Dr. Stephens ancesters of Rockingham Co., where he returned after the death of his wife and where he died.  Thank you, Linda
