Searching for parents of Andrew Bird Jones, said to be John Jones and Betty Bird. A John Jones and a Levi Jones were in Orange Co prior to the revolution. Does anyone have information about these? Andrew born in Augusta Co. was later in Rockingham Co. and from there he came with Cain families to Ky. where he married Sarah Cain in 1792. Not known whether his parents were ever in Ky, but is thought they stayed in Va. Any clue would be helpful.

I am researching the descendants of James GRACE (born in the mid 1700's). His son, Benjamin GRACE, married Catherine LEHR (LAIR) on Dec. 15, 1792, in Rockingham, Va.. Benjamin's son. Lehr Grace, was born Dec. 25, 1796 in Va.. Lehr died Jan. 4, 1854 in Franklin County, Ohio.

Am seeking info on H. Jacob Trumbo who bought 400 acres in Rockingham Co in 1742.  He had 4 sons: Andrew(1743),John(Abt. 1747),George (1750) and Jacob(1754).  John appears to have married a Mary Custer and moved to Alleghany Co, PA after the revolution, and Jacob appears to have married twice in Brock's Gap (once to Mary M Hughes). George married Margaret Rockefeller and had 10 children.  Andrew married Margaret Harness, had 3 sons and moved to Bath Co, KY.  I would like more information on the families of both John and Jacob, as well as the (Perhaps Pennsylvanian) ancestry of H. Jacob Trumbo himself.  Thanks in advance.

I am searching for any information concerning the family of Charles F. and Annie Gladwell Humes.  Charles was born abt. 1855 in Lilly, Va. d. 4-15-1920 burial at Mt. Clinton Cemetery.  Annie Gladwell was born 3-10-1866 d. 1-7-1962 burial at Mt. Clinton Cemetery.  They were the parents of four children, John Hisey Humes b. 5-18-1895, d.12-29-1966 burial at Woodbine Cemetery, Harrisonburg, Va., Zuma Elizabeth b. 5-6-1893, married an unknown Dahl and had children, she was also buried at Mt. Clinton.  Names of the other two children unknown.  Any information on the above family would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I am searching for information on my great great grandmother.  Sarah A. MATHEWS was born January 8, 1831, in Rockingham County, Virginia.  The only other information I have is that her parents were William MATHEWS and Elizabeth BICKERTON.  She married Henry GILMORE.  Sarah died on September 5, 1913, in Washington County, Minnesota. I am looking for the wife of David MUNGER/MAUNGER, step-father to Christopher, George, and Eva HAINES, per the Rev. War Pension record filed in Allen Co KY 1832.  The HAINES/MUNGER families lived in Rockingham Co, prior to the 1780 marriage of Christopher HAINES and Talitha SHORT. Christopher and David are found in the petition to form Russell Co in 1785. David consented to the marriage of Sally HAINES in 1787, so I assume Sally was a ward or step-daughter. I would appreciate any leads.

HART and Malinda Francis WINEGARD.  They were married in MillCreek - Rockingham County, VA on 8th day of June 1890.  James was the son of William HART and Nancy Jane FULTZ.  Malinda was the daughter of Joseph WINEGARD and Maggie BERRY. I am looking for information on William HART and Nancy Jane FULTZ.  William HART was the son of John HART and Mary (?).  Nancy was the daughter of Jacob FULTZ and Francis Harriet JORDAN.  They were married on 10 December 1868 at McGahysville, VA in Rockingham County.  They had one son James W.
