- Thomas GILMORE (son of James & who?) born about 1762 PA lived on Muddy Creek near
Dayton, died 1813 Rockingham County, married first an unknown woman and had: John;
Elizabeth; Henry; Mary "Polly"; Sarah "Sally"; Thomas;
Catharine. Thomas Sr. married second in 1801 to Mary GRACE and had: David; Joshua;
Ruth; Zebulon; and Alcinda "Lindy". Surnames of children's spouses: BRUMFIELD
KOOGLER DEPPERTY DITMAN LINDSEY LINK RIDDLE GIBSON NEWMAN BRILL BRIDGES BLACK. Who was
Thomas' first wife? Who was Catharine's second husband-BLACK? I am collecting information
on descendants of all these families and will share my research.

- I am trying to find information on Abe CARR born in Fulks Run Aug. 15, 1868. He
was the son of David CARR born at Broadway, Va in 1822. Abe married Laura Virginia
RITCHIE. Abe/Abraham is my grandfather. He had 6 brothers and 4 sisters.
I am sure there is someone in the county who would have some information on the
grandparents of Abe. Anything would be very much appreciated as I am new at this.

Dec 1905. They later moved to the Amhesrt County Area with their family. I believe William

- KAUFMAN/COFFMAN Bible record (translated from German): The Bible belongs to me,
Catharine KAUFMAN 1792, April 18, in the morning, between 2 & 3 o'clock, a boy was
born to me with name Benjamin KAUFMAN 1793, August 1st, a daughter was born to me with
name Maria KAUFMAN 1795, December 18th, a daughter was born to me with name Anna KAUFMAN
The year 1801, January 12, in the new time, have I married (no name) KAUFMAN to Michael
KROUSE Mary, wife of Matthias BEAVER died October 12th, 1836, aged 85 years, 6 months, 22
days The above Matthias and Mary BEAVER lived near Holman's
Creek, Shenandoah Co. (now Page Co.), VA from at least 1773 to 1780. In 1787 they
purchased the Sevier estate along Long Meadow Creek, near 10th Legion, Rockingham Co.,
VA. Their youngest son, Micheal m1 Nancy ____ who died before 1844. In 1844,
in Wayne Co., IN, he m. Catherine COFFMAN, widow of above mentioned Benjamin. His
first wife may have been above mentioned Anna. Michael BEAVER's
older brother Matthias, Jr. m. bef. 1814 in Rockingham Co., VA to Mary COFFMAN b.
1793. She may be above mentioned Marie. Any help with this
KAUFMAN/COFFMAN family appreciated.

Rockingham County, Virginia. Lydia married Robert KYGER on September 2, 1844 in
Rockingham County. Looking for more information on her ancestors.

James, and my granma-Viola. Rose's parents were HENRY SILAS MOWBRY and LILLY BELLE

- Looking for more information on Mark A(U)LDER (b. abt 1773; d. 1807 Rockingham Co., VA)
who married (12 Feb 1799; Rockingham Co., VA) to Barbara MOYER (d. 1848, Rockingham Co.,
VA). Mark A(U)LDER was the son of Bartholomew A(U)LDER and Hannah WORTHINGTON who migated
from Gloucester, NJ via Lancaster Co., PA to that part of Augusta County, VA that later
became Rockingham County. They arrived sometime after 1766, certainly by 1777.
In 1779 or early 1780 they moved down into that part of old Montgomery Co., VA that later
became part of Wythe, then Tazewell, then Bland County. When and why did son Mark
move back to Rockingham County?

Adam ZIMMERMAN (1779 administration of estate of another George ZIMMERMAN); Adam FOUGHT
(1779 land transaction); and possibly someone named WEIR in connection with the land that
was the subject of the 1777 transaction between A(U)LDER and WILLIAMS.

- LEE, Boler (Bolen, Bowlen, Bole, Bo) appeared in Augusta Co (the part that later became
Rockingham) in 1769. He appears in the property tax records of Rhm Co in the 1780's
and 1790's, disappearing after 1798. Does anyone know ANYTHING else about this man
or his family?

- My own branch of the BRUNK family left Rockingham County after the Civil War and settled
Rockingham County, Missouri, along with a number of other families from the same area of
Virginia. I have my origins traced back eight generations to Jacob BRUNK "the
Willmaker", but would like to know more about the people whose names appear on my
family tree. Would like to be in touch with other Brunks who are descended from Christian
and Magdelene Brunk.

- I am looking for information on the family of my GGGrandfather, James Thomas LONG, who
relocated to the Harrisonburg area after the death of his first wife, Mary Francis
(Sullivan) Long about 1890 in Greene County. James shows up on the 1900 cencus for
Harrisonburg with Elizabeth Black, his second wife, and their 2 daughters. My Grandmother,
Nettie Elizabeth, child of his first marriage, was sent to live with a family by the last
name of LEWIN in McGaheysville, which is also where my GGFather is presumably buried. I
would appreciate hearing from anyone who has knowledge of this family, and can fill in
some blanks for me.

name was Lucinda Derrer (Durrer). There children were: John, Jane, Julia, Elizabeth,
Frances, Michael, George, Jewhesdia, Alice, Ashby, Eliza,Cora Lee, all born in VA,
Youngest child Oscar born Johnson County MO 1870.
