I am looking for my Frazier Family line from Rockingham County, Virginia. The only things that I know about the the family is that they had two sons. John E. Frazier/Frasier (1837) and Jacob Wesley Frazier (1842). Both brothers married Mitchem/Mitchum/Meacham sisters, Mary C. Mitchum and Sarah J. Mitchem respectively. John married Mary in Fayette Ohio. John and Jacob's families moved to Bethany, Missouri. Then John's family moved to Crocker County after the civil war. Any lead would be appreciated. Karen Frasier-Scott

I am looking for information on the Harter families that lived in the Brocks Gap area during the 1700's to early 1800's. Some of the Harter's lived at the foot of Mine Mountain in the Criders area. Most moved to Licking Co. Ohio around 1817 but I know that there were some that stayed in this area.

Searching for parents of David F. HOMAN m. 28 Nov. 1810, Rockingham Co, VA to Lydia THOMAS, dau. of Richard THOMAS. 1830 Census resided in New Market, Shenandoah Co, VA. Before 1839 moved to Cooper Co, MO with 7 sons and 1 daughter. Father possibly is John HOMAN (d. 21 Jan. 1824) m. Mary (Polly) buried in family plot on the "old John Homan Cline" farm in Broadway, Rockingham Co, VA, About 1930 the farm was sold to the Broadway Hatchery and now is privately owned. The cemetery is in disrepair and it has been rumored by a neighbor that the current landowner is threatening to remove the headstones and farm the land. I live in MO and do not know to whom I can report this.

On the 9th of July in the 10th year of the Commonweath a marriage bond was made for John Boon and Elisabeth Alford in Rockingham/Augusta county. Bond by John Boon and John Alford. I need any documentation referring to John Boon's parentage/origins. Church record?--Baptist perhaps? He claimed Daniel Boone (the explorer)was his uncle and that he was born within 8 miles of York, Pa. (This last statement was from his pension application)
