I Abram Buckles of the County of Russell and State of Virginia being of sound mind mind and disposing memory , do make and publish this my last will and testament in manner and form following to wit:

1st, My will and desire is that all my just debts and funeral expenses be paid out of my personal estate as soon as convenient after my decease.

2nd, I will to my beloved wife Rebecca during her natural le=ife my home farm consisting of two tracts known as the Mucy tract, and Blessing tract, also I give to her all my personal property, money, bonds, and and choses in action of every description on hand at my death to have and to hold during her natural life.

3rd, I will to my son Emmet Buckles after the death of myself and my wife Rebecca , the Munsey tract of land, and part of the Blessing tract, herein bequeathed to my wife for life, in the second clause of my will, which has been surveyed and allotted to him to have and to hold forever after the death of myself and wife, and I require him to pay to my son Harvey Buckles, fifteen dollars after the death of myself and my my wife Rebecca.

4th, I will to my sons Eli, Chas W., William and George Buckles and my daughters Sabrina Jessee, and Laura Jessee, al my Campbell and Jessee lands lying in the headwaters of Carrs Creek in Russell County containing One hundred, and two hundred and forty seven acres respectively, also the balance of the Blessing land not willed to Emmet, to have and to hold forever.

5th, I will that all the personal property , monies, bonds and chose in action on hand at the death of myself and wife Rebecca, be equally divided among all my children mentioned in this my last will and testament. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal this the 7th day of January 1882.

At a County Court continued and held for Russell county at the Courthouse thereof on Tuesday the 02 January 1894. The last will and testament of Aram Buckles was produced in court, and proven by the oath of H.H. Dickenson, one of the subscribing witnesses thereto, and thereupon is ordered to be recorded.
