Organized by Mrs. John H. Moseley
The Roanoke Valley Chapter was organized November 6, 1961, with Mrs. John H. Moseley, of Vinton, Virginia, serving as regent and 17 charter members recorded. Mrs. Moseley, along with the original members, instituted the first Saturday meetings in the Roanoke Valley, in order to accommodate working women's schedules.
