This is of historical value to some in Scott County who may be looking for Confederate Veterans. This list was kept by Robert L. McConnell and was given to me by his sister-in-law, Mildred Fleenor McConnell.

James M. Quillen - buried West side of Church

Dr. James Wallace - buried West side of Church.

William Bush - buried West side of Church.

Capt. Jas. B. Jackson - buried West side of Church.

Jacob Kilgore - buried West side of Church.

Robert H. Dickerson - buried West side of Church.

George G. Bush - born Oct 1838 - buried East side of Church. Shot by an assassin in Aug 4, 1866.

Clayton McConnell - Tomestone is in Dougherty Cemetery, died in Camp Douglas, Chicago, Ill, buried there.

Milton O. P. McConnell- killed Gettysburg. Tombstone is in Dr. Abraham Berry McConnell's Cemetery, Wayland, VA.

John Fugate McConnell- buried in William G. McConnell Cem­etery, located on present day Marvin Byington farm.

Nathan McConnell- died at Gettysburg. Tombstone in William G. McConnell Cemetery, Marvin Byington farm, Nickelsville, VA.

Capt. Henry Morris McConnell - commander of Nickelsville Spar­tan Band, buried in Rev. George McConnell Cemetery, Morgan's Chapel, Midway, VA.

Lt. William Smith - buried on Bruce & Beth Culbertson's farm, Morgan Chapel, Midway, VA.

Robert Smith - buried in his homeplace cemetery, Midway, VA.

Lt. Hiram Kilgore McConnell - buried at his homeplace cemetery, near Scott Co. Landfill, Midway, VA.

Pvt. William G. "Big William" McConnell, Blacksmith for Gen. Stonewall Jackson - buried on his farm on a bench in the Clinch Mountain, War Gap, Tennessee (Robinette Valley).

Jeremiah McConnell - buried on Joab Watson McConnell home­stead, Twin Springs, VA.
