Some
people knew Bob McConnell as a quiet, easy going
person, kind and gentle to all. Some knew him as the
Postmaster of Nickelsville Post Office. Others knew
him as a a farmer, teacher, surveyor, a telephone
worker and banker. Most everyone did not know he was
keeping a daily account of the weather, the things he
was doing
and
an account of things which were happening around the
community of
Nickelsville
,
Virginia
from 1901 to 1960s.
The McConnell
Family gives a special thank you to Dorothy McConnell
Mann, daughter to Tate and Mildred Fleenor McConnell for
sharing this valuable heirloom story with all of us.
