Hello from Australia
I downloaded an article from the internet last night regarding the "Bruce Family" who owned the "Berry Hill Plantation" 3 miles west of South Boston. I am currently doing my family tree and discovered that my ancestor was born in Virginia around 1840/1841 (John Charles Bruce).
From this article, I believe that there are many records & articles regarding the "Bruces" related to this property and I was hoping that somewhere in your records you would hold a family tree of the Bruces from the plantation.
John Charles Bruce migrated to Australia as my records show that he married in Townsville, Queensland, Australia in 1871 - he is my great great grandfather.
As we have come to a standstill with this side of the family, a family tree would be most helpful.
I appreciate your help in this matter. The history on these Bruces sound's very interesting and it would be great if we could link my ancestor with the Bruce's from this plantation.
