I am seeking information on Martha Jane Duffer, who married Jessie Newcomb in Charlotte in 1836 (have record); son Charles Henry b 1841. Do you have a record of her birth (I believe she is the daughter of John Duffer) and/or divorce from Jesse Newcomb?

| DIXON / DICKSON |
Hello, my name is Claudia and I sure could use some assistance. I'm trying to link my ancestors John William Dixon (1807-1897) and his father Benjamin Dickson (1788-1859). Both father and son were born in Halifax.
John Dixon married Jane Shaw in Halifax 26 Sep 1833. John's father and mother, Benjamin Dickson and Elizabeth Wagstaff, were married in Halifax 9 Dec 1800.
I have references I found on-line from another researcher which related to the following:
1. Halifax County Virginia Will Book #6 page 91 in reference to Benjamin Dickson.
2. County Records Halifax film #084778 may be referring to the marriage of John Dixon and
Jane Shaw.
3. Original land patent #5-46-5 conveyed originally to Benjamin Dickson, 9 Aug 1839. The
header was from the insert I found under John William Dixon.
I just need to prove that John William Dixon and Benjamin Dickson were father and son via will, marriage certificate, etc. Thank you so much for any help you can provide. ck
