My search for John Johnson of Campbell County (died 1824, lived on Swan Creek near Seneca and Staunton River) has moved into Charlotte and Prince Edward Counties because of DNA connections. Family names are many Harveys, Pemberton, Organ, Cousins, Harris, Wade, Roach, Paulette, Eidson and others.
We've been looking at Reuben Johnson, Daniel Johnson, Henry, Hickerson Johnson and a William Johnson.
Reuben did move to Prince Edward County, but the others were in Charlotte County, though some moved west. . We think they were originally from Middlesex County, then possibly Caroline County - but many moved to NC in early 1700's, and Kentucky later.
Also, I recently found a mention online of a Henry Johnson, Prince Edward Co. who died 12/15/1785 and had wife Mary, kids Reuben, Wm, John, and Elizabeth.
