Seeking information on the parents and siblings of my gggrandfather. His name was GEORGE W. VAUGHN (an) born
on 28 Feb 1796 in Virginia. Between that year and 1832 he moved to Garnetsville, KY (now it is Fort Knox) as a
blacksmith and farmer (History of Garnetsville. KY). His residence in 1850 was District 3,Meade Co, and Kentucky
according to the census. He married MARY ELIZA CONNER on 09 Aug 1832 in Kentucky. He died on 13 Apr 1869 in
Mead Co KY. He was buried in Hynes Cemetery, Meade CO KY with many Butlers.
Mary Eliza (Eliza) was the daughter of John Connor & Mary Brothers. She was born on 28 Nov 1809 in Washington Co KY.
