This
trip is sponsored by the Tidewater
Genealogical Society. In
case of unforeseen expenses or other difficulty; the passenger involved is
financially responsible. These
trips are self-supporting and are based on a full bus.

of Congress, and D.A. R. Library
COST:
$35.00/member; $45.00/non-member.

TGS.

"Please
make sure to get your reservation check mailed in at least two weeks
before the date of the bus trip.
That is the standard time frame required of the bus company before it
will charge a cancellation fee,
in the event that we do not have enough riders."
Reservations
can be made by phone, but will not be confirmed until your check is
received. An email will be
sent confirming receipt of your check.
If
bus is over scribed, member will be given priority until one week prior to
departure. A non-member list
will be made and seats will be filled on a first-seat available basis.
This is to assure us of full capacity.
CANCELLATION: For
refund of fare, 48 hour notice (by phone) must be given prior to the
morning of the trip unless there are standbys.

LIBRARY
OF CONGRESS: A
photo ID and Library of Congress Research Card required. Search
of bags/briefcases at exit. Cafeteria
in tunnel connecting “L of C” buildings
NOTE: The bus will take you to the
Library of Congress in the morning, but it will be up to you to get back
to the National Archives in the afternoon by 4:35 PM for pick up time to
leave Washington. The bus WILL NOT pick you up at the Library of
Congress.
NATIONAL ARCHIVES: Metal detector at entrance.
Photo ID required. Viewing original records requires
National Archives Research Card. Cell
phone/computers/palm pilots must be registered upon entry.
Cafeteria/snack bar in basement.
Allow time for search of bags/briefcases at exit.
D.A.R. LIBRARY: Metal detector at entry.
Entrance fee to Library is $6.00 for non-members. Bags & briefcases will be searched.
Lower level dining area with vending machines.
LUNCH: Many researchers carry their own
lunch to eat in one of the snack areas.
DINNER: Golden Corral in
Fredericksburg, VA.
The cost of all-you-can-eat buffet is $10.00, collected on the bus prior
to arrival at the Golden Corral. (Correct
amount appreciated.)
