AWARDS AND RECOGNITION OF MEMBERS

It is fitting to recognize members for meritorious contributions to the Society. Each outgoing President is awarded a plaque by the newly elected President at the annual meeting. Other members may be recognized at the discretion of the President, but there are no set rules by which the Society is regulated. Recommendations for each recognition should be forwarded to the President.

Special awards have been established to recognize members of the Society for outstanding achievements or service to the Society. Any member may nominate a candidate for a specific award.

Nominations must be made in writing, include proper documentation of the nominee's achievements or service, and submitted to the Awards and Recognition Committee.

Properly completed nominations will be considered by the committee. Those nominees deemed worthy by unanimous vote of the committee will be approved. The President will be notified of the name of the approved nominee. All documentation will be forwarded to the Secretary for inclusion in the Society's official records.
