THOMAS, WIDENER posted by Larry Overbay on Tuesday, April 27, 1999

I am a great, great, great grandson of Lewis Thomas who lived in Washington Co ca 1765-1822. He had a land grant in Washington County in 1785 on the Mill Creek. In the late 1790's Lewis Thomas, Benjamin Thomas and Reuben Thomas all had adjoining land surveys on the Mill Creek. Lewis is likely the son of Reuben or a brother. Lewis may have been married to Elizabeth Widener. He was a founding member of Rush Creek Primitive Baptist Church. I would appreciate any help in locating where Lewis or his family lived before coming to Washington County.
