      WARREN, JAMES E., was born August 12, 1859, in Kingsbury, Washington county, N. Y. He is the son of James C. and Clarrisa (Colvin) Warren. He received his education in the schools of his native place and located in Kirby in 1885, where he owns a splendid farm of 225 acres and forty head of stock. Mr. Warren has always been a farmer of the progressive class. In 1884 Mr. Warren married Gertrude Taylor of North Concord, Vermont. The union has been blessed by seven children, James A., Etta C., Carl R., Clyde T., Dewey C., and Leigh N. 

      Mr. Warren has always taken a lively interest in all matters of a public nature and has served Kirby one year as constable and collector of taxes, selectman two years, and road commissioner three years.
