George N. DALE was born 19
Feb 1834 at Fairfax, VT. He lived in Waitsfield, VT from age 6 mos.
to 21 years. Admitted to Vermont Bar in March of 1856 at the Washington
County Court. Formed a partnership with the Hon. William H. Hartshorn
in same year; State Rep. of Guildhall in 1860. Married Miss Helen Hinman
of West Charleston, VT on October 19, 1864 with whom he had three children;
Porter Hinman, b. 1 Mar 1867; Helen Inez b. 6 May 1872, and Mary Lettie,
b. 22 Mar 1883. He was elected Lieut. Governor of Vermont in 1870, and
President of the Vermont Bar Association in November 1885.
