VT - died Dec. 20, 1924, Ossining, NY)
Frank's
father is listed on Frank’s death certificate as SAMUEL KNIGHT of Orwell,
VT.
Frank’s
mother was FANNY, b. ca. 1835, maiden name and birthplace unknown.
It
is also unknown what became of SAMUEL KNIGHT. Eventually, FANNY KNIGHT
appears on the 1860 Shoreham, VT census, living in the household of GEORGE
W. DOANE, but without Samuel or Frank.
On
Jul. 10, 1861, FANNY KNIGHT and GEORGE W. DOANE marry, and have several
children: Martha (1861), Helen (1864), Antonette or Annett (1865), Della
or Adele (1866), Affia (1868), Dorus (1871) and Otis (1873). They
all lived on a farm in Shoreham, VT, for many years during that time, and
at one point in 1880, they lived in Sudbury, VT.
Frank
is wearing what appears to be a Masonic pin on his lapel. This would
probably be from a lodge near N. Tarrytown or Ossining, NY, as he resided
in that area as an adult.
