Know by all men
by these Presents that I Ebenezer Wright of Addison in the County of Addison
and state of Vermont do for and in consideration of the sum of thirteen
Dollars and seventy five Cents Current money of the untied states received
in full to my satisfaction of Peleg Whitford of Addison in the County of
Addison and state of Vermont the receipt whereof I do hereby acknowledge
have given granted bargained and sold and by these presents do give grant
bargain sell aliene convey and confirm unto the said Peleg Whitford his
heirs and assigns forever all my wright title Interest property or Demand
of in and unto all that peace or share of land which is part of the fourth
Division of the right of James Olmsted containing five acres and half land
butted and bounded as follows (viz) beginning at a stake in the original
line of No Twelve one hundred and sixty rods west of the south east corner
of sd lot No 12 thence north 106¨ø rods to a stake thence west
8 rods to a stake thence south 106¨ø to a stake thence East
8 rods the bound begun at
To have and to
hold the above granted and bargained premises with all Privileges and appurtenances
thereof and thereto belonging to him the sd Peleg Whitford his heirs and
assigns to his and their own proper use benefit and behoof forever and
I the said Ebenezer Wright do for my self my heirs Executors and administrators
covenant to and with the said Peleg Whitford his heirs Executors administrators
and assigns that at and until the Insealing of these presents I am well
seized of the premises in fee simple that I have good right and lawful
authority to bargain and sell the same in manner following as is above
written that they are free and clear of all Incumbrances and that I will
warrant and Defend the same against all lawful claims and Demands of any
Person or persons whatever __ In witness whereof I have her unto set my
hand and seal this ninth Day of May AD one thousand and Eight hundred and
three.
