Know
all men by these presents that I, John FAIRBANK of Reedsborough in the
County of and State of Vermont in consideration of 170 Dollars to me in
hand paid by Joshua FAIRBANK of Douglass in the County of Worcester and
Commonwealth of Massachusetts gentleman the receipt whereof I Do hereby
acknowledge do hereby give grant sell and convey unto the said Joshua a
certain Tract of Land Lying in Reedsborough aforesaid and is of Lot. No
thirteen Bounded as following beginning at the Southeast Corner of s’d
lot and Runs Northeasterly on the East line about 123 Rod, thence westerly
103 Rods thence Southandly to the South line of said Lot thence Easterly
to the first mentioned Corner seposed to Contain about Seventy Nine acres
To
have and to hold the afore granted premises to the said Joshua his heirs
and assigns to his and their own proper use benefit and behoof forever
and I Do Covenant with the said Joshua his heirs and assigns that I am
Lawfully seized in fee simple and that the said premises are free from
all incumbrence and that I have good right to sell and Convey the same
to the said Joshua and that I will warrant and Defend the same premises
to the said Joshua and to his heirs and assigns forever against the Lawfull
Claims and Demand of all persons in witness whenceof I have here unto Set
my hand and seal this 14 Day of Aril A.D. 1800 Signed Sealed and Delivered
in presents of
The
condishons of the above Deed is such that I the s’d John FAIRBANK Doe well
and truly pay on cause to be paid to the said Joshua FAIRBANK two Notes
of hand one bearing Date January 1799 and the other bearing this Date to
be paid by the twenty first Day of December 1801 and if said Notes are
paid this Deed to be Null and Void otherways to ??? in full power and Virtue
said Note Contains 170 Dollars in writing whence of I have hereunto Set
my hand and Seal this 14 Day of April 1800 in present of
