Know
All men by these presents that I Micah STERNS of Grassetten? In the County
of Providence and State of Rhode Island for the Consideration of two hundred
Dollars Received to my full Satisfaction of Throop CHAPMAN of Readsborough
in the County of Bennington and Sate of Vermont do Give grant Bargain Sell
and Confirm unto the Said Throop CHAPMAN his heirs and assigns a certain
tract of land in Readsborough in the County of Bennington and State of
Vermont one hundred acres bounded as follows Beginning at the South West
Corner of a tract of land Sold to Asoph WHITE and Running North ten Degrees
East bounded an Said land one hundred and Sixty Nine Rods thence West ten
Degrees North one hundred Rods thence South ten Degrees West one hundred
and forty Rods thence South thirty five Degrees East fifty Six Rods thence
East ten Degrees South Sixty Rods to the first mentioned Bounds containing
one hundred acres Except twenty Sale to Samuel GLADDING on the North End
the North East Corner Between the East line on the Brook
To
have and to hold the above granted and Bargained premises With the appurtenances
thence of unto him the Said Throop CHAPMAN his heirs and assigns forever
to his and there own proper use Benefit and Behoof and also I the Said
Micah STERNS do for my Self my heirs Executors and administrators Covenant
With the S’d Throop CHAPMAN his heirs and assigns that at and untill the
Enseling of these presents I am Well Seized of the premises as a good in
Defeasable Estate in fee Simple and I and have good Right to Sell the Same
in manner and form as above Written and that the Same is free of all incumbrances
Whatsoever and furthermore I the Said Micah STEARNS Do by these presents
bind my Self my heirs to Warrant and Defend the above granted and and Bargained
premises to the Said Throop CHAPMAN his heirs and assigns against all Claims
and Demands Whatsoever
