Know
all men by these presents that I Throop CHAPMAN of Reedsborough in the
County of Bennington and State of Vermont yeoman for the Consideration
of a 100 DOLLARS S M received to my full satisfaction of Isaac ESTEY
Jun’r of Reedsborough in the County of Bennington and State of Vermont
yeoman Do give grant bargain sell and Confirm unto him the Said Isaac his
heirs and assigns A certain Lot or parcel of Land lying in Reedsborough
aforesaid Beginning at the South East Corner which is the Northeast Corner
of Henry DAVISON’s Land and Runs west 10 Degrees North Eight Rods to a
stake and Stones then North 10 degrees east one hundred Eleven Rods to
a stake and stones then East 10 degs South Eighty Rods to a stake and Stones
then South 10 deg west one hundred Eleven Rods to the first mentioned Corner
Containing fifty five acres and an half be the Same more or Less
To have
and to hold the above granted and bargained premises with the appurtenances
thereof to him the said Isaac his heirs and assigns forever to his and
their own Proper use benfit and behoof forever and Also I the Said throop
CHAPMAN Do by these Presents do bind my self and heirs forever to warrant
and Defend the above granted and bargained Premises to the Said Isaac ESTEY
Jun’r his heirs and assigns against all Claims and Demands Whatsoever in
witness whereof I have here unto Set my hand and seal this 15 Day of Sep’tr
