SOUTH BURLINGTON, a town located in the western part
of the county, was formed from the portion severed from the old town of
Burlington when the city was incorporated, in 1866. For the reason of its
recent organization, its history is inseparably connected with the old
town and present city of Burlington, both of which will be found incorporated
in our sketch of Burlington, to which we refer the reader.
