The Virgin Islands Ancestry Discovery Group (VIADG) was founded in 2001. The group seeks to help Virgin Islanders research and preserve their family histories, stories, traditions, customs and culture; to provide a forum for the development of research skills; to share knowledge of resources available; to encourage  researchers; and, to involve the Virgin Islands community in the ancestry discovery process.

  • Get help starting your family history.
  • Network with local genealogists.
  • Share success stories.
  • Participate in workshops on genealogical topics.
  • Find encouragement when you hit a "Brick Wall".

The group meets once every other month at Estate Whim Plantation Museum on St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands. Meeting day is the last Saturday of the month.  The time is usually 1 p.m.
