Adams-Babcock Cemetery

This cemetery is located on East Village Road (Town Road #4). The cemetery is no longer in use, is in fair condition, and has 15+ graves. The oldest grave in this cemetery is dated 1797. The most recent grave is dated 1858. The floor of this cemetery is covered in Vinca (Periwinkle). From Route 18 near Stiles Pond, turn onto Hudson Road under I93, then turn left onto Dr. Walsh Road. At the next intersection (marked "Dangerous") turn left onto East Village Road. The cemetery is on the left about 100 feet down the hill.

Cushman Cemetery

This cemetery is located in the extreme northern corner of the town. From Route 18 near Stiles Pond, turn onto Hudson Road under I93, then turn left onto Dr. Walsh Road. At the next intersection (marked "Dangerous") turn right then left onto Town Road #5. The cemetery is on the left about a quarter mile across an open field. While this cemetery was originally a private cemetery, it is now considered public as the Cushman Family have requested the town to maintain it. The cemetery is seldom used, is in good condition, and has 15+ graves. The oldest grave is dated 1843, the most recent grave is dated 1980. Access is across an open field as the cemetery is about 300 feet across the field.

Fuller Hill Burial Ground

This burial ground is believed to be located on Old County Road (Town Highway #14) and is believed to have been obliterated during logging operations some years ago. The land owner and I climbed to the area and we did find one fieldstone that appeared to the "Jac" in small (maybe 1 inch) letters and "F" in a larger size (maybe 3 inch) letter. Since there was a large pile of debris covering the area, no other traces of stones was found.

Hill Cemetery

This cemetery is located on Gingues Road (Town Road #24) in Gingues' field near the intersection of VT Route #18 and the I93 interchange. This cemetery is no longer in use, is in poor condition, and has 50+ graves. The oldest grave is dated 1808, the most recent grave is dated 1946. There is an access road to a barn that allows one to park next to the cemetery.

Lower Waterford Cemetery

This cemetery is located on State Aid Road #2 one half mile from Lower Waterford. It is still in use, is in good condition, and has 300+ graves. The oldest grave is dated 1801. Access is down a narrow lane, the cemetery is about 500 feet from the road.

Passumpsic Cemetery

This cemetery is located on the west side of U.S. #5 about one mile north of Passumpsic village. This cemetery is still in use, is in excellent condition, and has 300+ graves. The oldest grave is dated 1807. The cemetery is laid out in twenty sections with roads separating the sections. The entrance to the cemetery is through the oldest section.

Powers-Wheeler Cemetery

This cemetery is located on Davis Farm Road on a side hill near house number 1304. The cemetery has been abandoned and has 50 graves. The oldest grave is dated 1815, the most recent grave is dated 1871.

Riverside Cemetery

This cemetery is located on Cemetery Road (Town Road #43) just north of the I93 bridge across the Connecticut River. The cemetery was moved during the construction of the Samuel Moore Hydroelectric Dam from the former locations which are now under water. The cemetery is no longer in use, is in excellent condition, and has 300+ graves. The oldest grave is dated 1829. Access is from Cemetery Road with parking next to the fence.

Stiles Cemetery

The cemetery is located on VT Route #18 near the Stiles Pond Reservoir and is across from the Stiles Pond Filteration building. The cemetery is no longer in use, is in poor condition, and has 50 graves. The oldest grave is dated 1841, the most recent grave is dated 1917. There is a turnout on VT Route 18 about 300 feet from the cemetery.

West Waterford Cemetery

This cemetery is located just north of the village of West Waterford on Duck Pond Road (State Aid Road #3). The cemetery is no longer is use, is in fair condition, and has 150+ graves. The oldest grave is dated 1809, the most recent grave is dated 1904. Access is from Duck Pond Road with parking next to the fence.
