This is composed of three small churches that joined together to keep themselves intact. One is in E. Fairfield, one is in Bakersfield and I am not sure where the 3rd one is located. They do something quite unique. Each church building is open 1/3 of the year and the congregants move from location to location as the seasons pass. I know the E. Fairfield church best. The land for it was donated by one of my g-g grandfathers, Nelson William Isham and it began as a Universalist-Methodist Union Meeting House. Later it became Congregationalist. The last time I visited, there was a woman minister. Unfortunately, I can’t remember her name and do not know if she is still there or not. Contributed by Susan Fogg Eisdorfer |
