THE DARLING (GLOVER) FAMILY CEMETERY

is located on the Great Rd (1.7 miles north of Hwy 302) just north of the Glover farm. No one knows the time or exact spot of the first burial here. The land belonged to Dominicus Gray, but was sold to John Darling on 9 October 1795. This strip of land became part of the Darling farm, now owned by Harry Welch. The land was later sold to families of those buried there, to include the Darling, Taisey, Gray, Emery, Hatch, Low, Hosmer, and Bragdon families.

The last internment was that of Janet (Brock) Darling, wife of John Darling Jr in 1889. Some remains have been removed to the Village Cemetery; the entire Job Welton family, some of the Hatch family, and perhaps others. Bradbury Morrison and Robert Taisey, though buried here have monuments in the larger cemetery in Groton.

Information taken from "Mr. Glover's Groton" and a cemetery transcription by Bob Murphy on 1 Aug 2001.

Here is a list of those buried at this cemetery from the Groton Cemetery listing;
