Vermont Trails To The Past is Adoptable

On January 15, 1777, representatives of the New Hampshire Grants declared the independence of Vermont. For six months it was called "The Republic of New Connecticut". On July 4, 1777 the Constitution of Vermont was drafted and was adopted by the delegates on July 8.

Vermont is the birthplace of Calvin Coolidge and Chester A. Arthur, former presidents.
