Welsh-American Genealogical Society, Inc. (WAGS)
2011 is our 21st Anniversary
Dedicated Volunteers Have Enabled it To Succeed! The Welsh-American Genealogical Society is now 21 years old. Officially founded to fulfill a vision and dream of Dr. Arturo L. Roberts, the society is registered with the Vermont's Secretary of State. WAGS is a home-based genealogical society incorporated as an educational, non-profit organization under Internal Revenue Service Code Sections 501(a) as described in 501(c)(3), 509(a)(1) and 170(b)(1)(A)(vi). Staffed entirely by volunteers, its purpose is to offer guidance to individuals researching their Welsh roots, bringing them together with others with similar interests. Our 21st year of newsletter production is now underway.
From the United States West Coast, to the northeast regions to North West Wales and everywhere in-between, cooperative efforts of the WAGS volunteer officers and staff have enabled this organization to continue to grow, to help each other and to work to assist members with their family history research. Our friends have spread around our globe in pursuit of our elusive Welsh ancestors and in hopes of connecting with distant relatives. You are all "scholars" of your own family history - it is up to you to research and document your heritage for your descendants. Join WAGS and we will offer you guidance with your questions.
Congratulations to the dedicated officers and staff who have collectively achieved this 21st-year goal and have enjoyed help and friendship of many; and thank you to our members for their dedicated patronage.
