Welcome (Croeso) to the Welsh-American Genealogical Society (WAGS) web pages. WAGS - the place to begin or continue your family history research, or to learn more about the people of Wales, their customs, their traditions, their history, and their wanderings.
WAGS is incorporated and registered in the State of Vermont, Office of the Secretary of State, as an educational, non-profit organization. Served entirely by volunteer staff, its purpose is to offer guidance to members researching their Welsh roots, bringing them together with others with similar interests. WAGS is registered as a non-profit organization under Internal Revenue Code Sections 501(a) as described in 501(c)(3), 509(a)(1) and 170(b)(1)(A)(vi) retroactive to September 1, 1990. Donors of gifts and bequests may deduct contributions as provided in section 170 of the Code.
Membership dues currently maintain the needs for publication of our quarterly member newsletters. Membership dues are $10.00 (US), $11.00 (CN), and $14.00 (UK) per person per year, payable to WAGS through our Membership Services, 60 Norton Avenue, Poultney, VT 05764-1029 USA. Newsletters (ISSN: 1520-8249) in hardcopy format are published quarterly and mailed first class to all members. Back issues are available for order at the cost of $2.00 each plus $.70 (US) shipping. All back issues beginning with the Spring 1991 issue are available for back order through the Vermont mailing address. Members may register their email addresses to be included for the Online News mailings.
