Nuance OmniPage v16.0

1. OmniPage V16 Improvements:
   1. New Features:
      • OCR Performance has been noticeably improved.
      • OCR seems to be improved, especially for low quality images.
      • Text view highlights changed text so you can see what was changed by the training file.
      • OmniPage V16.0 does a better job with its “SUGGESTIONS” for “SUSPECT WORDS”. Correct suggestions are more common.
2. Old Bugs (v15, v14 and v16)
   1.  It seems (so far) that OmniPage V16 better  recognizes and handles “BULLETED TEXT” in the scanned document properly.
      1. A sample PDF file that exhibits the same BULLETED text problem with v16.  Just LOAD this PDF file and process this SINGLE COLUMN image and you will see OmniPage v16 incorrectly and the "2." and "3." are BULLETS and will be lost when you go to FORMAT: PARAGRAPH: unselect the BULLETS check box.  The numbers will be LOST and the resulting document will be wrong.
3. Problems
   1. OmniPage v16 installation requires you to UNINSTALL previous OmniPage versions. This is the first release that requires this.
   2. Exporting to a file that already exists and is open gives a generic File Error rather than to indicate the file is already open and cannot be overwritten.
   3. Deleting pages that have use a special style seem to delete the styles even if the style is used later.
