Finley, Benton, Washington

Late in 1905, residents in the Northern Pacific Irrigation Company project, voted to name the local school after one of the first settlers, George E. Finley. The Finley name was extended to include the post office and town in May 1906, where the SP&S had a construction camp and later, a station. Mail service has been from Kennewick since 1935, and Finley remains a nice community of open spaces and country feel just to the east of Kennewick.
