WELCOME TO
BENTON COUNTY, WASHINGTON

in the heart of the Columbia Basin

Hello, I'm Susan Davis Faulkner, your new Benton County USGenWeb Coordinator. When I saw that April was putting this site up for adoption, I was concerned. She has done a wonderful job and cares about research in this area. The shoes she would leave behind would be big shoes to fill. After thinking about it, I decided I was up to the challenge. April has allowed me time to take on this responsibility slowly.

I became the Franklin County USGenWeb Coordinator in 2003. As I have researched information for Franklin County, I have also found information for Benton County. This is largely due to the fact that the highest populated area of each county is where these two counties meet; the TriCities. Activity in one county can not help but impact the neighboring county, and the history of these counties reflects this story.

I will be adding, updating, and altering this site slowly as I put my own touches and style to the information April has already made available. If you have questions or items you would like me to add, please contact me at denmother4@hotmail.com.
