Pictures
The purpose of this area is to provide a place for people to share their historic pictures of the Benton County, Washington area. If you have any pictures you would like to share of the area or the people who lived here just send them to Susan Davis Faulkner. Please try to make the pictures as compact as possible to save space in my mailbox (saving them as .jpeg files is usually the best way to send larger files)
I would prefer that pictures are in .gif, .bmp, .jpg or .jpeg format as these are the easiest for me to open.

- Kennewick Land Company 1906 This is a picture
of Herbert Austin Hover (H.A.) and his brother Aaron Hampton Hover dated 1906.
H. A. was said to have been a millionaire, but where he made his millions
is unknown. He was a land developer, had oil wells, and later sold real estate.
He also crossed the United States and Europe in a Maxwell in 1908. Aaron had
a steam freighter business in Washington, and was probably a land developer
as well. Aaron has "Aron 26" and an arrow below him, and Herbert is the one
that says "at 37" below him. The others in the photo are unknown to me. The
photo was a little faded. Herbert Austin Hover, b. March 09, 1868, Madisonville,
Lake, Ohio; d. November 16, 1951, St. Petersburg Beach, Pinellas Co., Florida

07, 1947, Ovett, Jones Co., Mississippi. Courtesy of Ms. Johnson
